Troubleshooting FAQ 


Below is a list of common problems that may occur when using your mobile phone. Try these easy troubleshooting steps to resolve any type of issues you may encounter. 


The phone does not power on 
Press and hold the power key until the startup sequence appears on the display.
Check the battery level and ensure there is sufficient charge. 

The phone does not respond after several minutes 
Remove and insert the battery – If the phone has an internal battery, please press and hold the power button. 

The phone powers off by itself 
Check if the screen lock of the phone is enabled. 
Check if the phone needs to be charged. 

The battery will not charge 
Check if the battery is already fully charged. 
Make sure that the battery is inserted correctly. 
Ensure that the battery being used is a MODE approved battery. 
Double-check if the charger connector is properly connected to the phone. 
Note: Connect charger only after the battery has been inserted. 

The standby time is too short 
Please keep in mind that standby time relates directly to phone usage (Internet, Text, Voice Calls, Maps, etc.). 
Batteries typically have to be replaced after a year of use. 

The phone cannot connect to the network (Voice or Data) 
Verify if you have active service with your service provider. 
Contact your local network service provider and verify if you are within its network coverage area. 

The phone displays a SIM Error 
Make sure the SIM is properly inserted and in its intended slot. 
Make sure that the SIM card is not damaged or scratched. 

The PIN code was entered incorrectly three times 
The SIM card will lock, and you will need to enter the PUK code (PIN Unlock Code). Please contact your local service provider to obtain the PUK. 

I cannot make calls 
Make sure that the number you dialed is correct and the dial key has been pressed. 
Use the full national area code when dialing out of your area or when abroad, use country-specific international access codes. 

I cannot receive calls 
Make sure that your phone is connected to a network. 

The caller ID does not display on incoming calls 
Contact your local network service provider and verify you have the caller ID feature enabled on your account or verify if the caller may have blocked his number from appearing. 

The caller cannot leave a voicemail message 
Contact your local network service provider and verify if the voicemail service is active on your account or check if the network is busy. 
The phone does not connect to the internet 
Ensure with your service provider that your account has the appropriate internet/data plan enabled. 
Ensure internet APN settings are configured (Carrier dependent). 

Text Messages cannot be Sent / Received 
Ensure text messaging is enabled with your service provider. 
Ensure APN settings are configured (Carrier dependent). 

Will there be issues with Android apps if Google crashes?
No, Google is a collection of services that run independently from Google Play apps. Individual Google services, such as Gmail or Google Calendar, might not receive updates, and there is a possibility you will not be able to access a certain function if a specific service stops working.

Product Redemptions


Do I get a tracking number?
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide tracking on our products at this time but when the item ships we can provide one upon request.

Where is my redemption?
Your redemption is on it's way...we promise! Due to the way we process redemptions, it can sometimes take up to 7 business days for your redemption to be processed. 

Depending on where we are shipping the product to, products can take anywhere from 2-7 weeks to arrive. Please be patient! If you still have not received your product after this time period, there could be a few reasons behind the delay.

International shipping can be slow and a number of unknown factors can affect the time a product takes to arrive at its destination. If your product is taking longer than expected, this is the most likely scenario.

You have been flagged as a suspicious user and we are checking to make sure there is no fraud. You can see all the reasons we may have flagged you as suspicious here. If we determine that fraud has been committed on your account, you will be blocked from using Current and your reward will not be sent.

Can I cancel my redemption and get my Points back?
Unfortunately once you have completed the redemption process, we are unable to issue any Points refunds or cancel your order.

Gift Card Redemptions
My gift card doesn't work

If the gift card that you received didn't work, we are so sorry! First, please double check your code and make sure you didn't accidentally type it in wrong. If this doesn't work, please email us at support[at]current.us and we will try to resolve your issue.

Where is my gift card?
Your redemption is on it's way...we promise! Due to the way we process redemptions, it can sometimes take up to 7 business days for your redemption to be sent. 

​​If it has been more than 7 business days and you have not received your gift card yet, there could be a number of reasons why it is taking longer than usual:

Our app has been so popular and so many people have been redeeming that we have a backlog. Don't worry though, we will get to your reward as soon as we can!

Can I cancel or return my Gift Selection?
Unfortunately, all gift cards and physical goods are final and non-refundable.
